Perhaps
this is the most important section for everyone to read. These
rules, are how we should conduct ourselves within the community.
They also have the (damnable) affect of reining in my powers so I
do not treat you unjustly. Problems have been had in the past,
and although I have vowed to allow common sense to rule for the
most part, flagrant disregard for these laws will result in the
harshest penalties I can levy (which is nothing more then a community wide
banning).
|
There is no greater law within the community than this. Your
first, last and only goal should be to have fun. And if, for a
moment you begin not to have fun, you should retire that very
moment. For we can do nothing but agitate you then. |
|
This is a very
important rule. Without your activity we have no
community. Without a community then we have no
AOWF. During the breaks between the indy circuit
(NoA, FFG, and AFTA) get involved with the
community on the OOC board, or get involved with
one of the member feds. Or bring another fed
into the fold. Just be there for us, to keep us
interested. |
|
rule two (b): limit
on wrestlers |
|
I've found that in order to be active and productive their needs to be a cap on
how much one-handler can do, and considering the AOWF Community consist of
two-federations no one handler may have more then two-active wrestlers. You
may have a stable of five-wrestlers under your command, (meaning five-wrestlers
that you yourself handle and control) but three will always have to be
inactive...meaning unable to participate in an AOWF federation until you've
deactivated one of your previously active wrestlers, and activated your
previously deactivate wrestler...
On that same token if your the president of a
federation you may control no more then one-wrestler...as the federation itself
will be looked upon as your second wrestler.
An exception to this rule comes in the case
of tag-teams. If you have a couple of wrestlers that participate in nothing but
tag-team matches then they may be on the AOWF roster, but may not participate in
singles matches. And the only reason I allow this is because most tag-team role
plays are done in one role play as opposed to a handler doing two for each
character.
|
|
rule three: be
reasonable |
|
We try, we really do. But sometimes we can't accommodate
everything. We know you may want a title shot, but understand
that this is a large, and ever growing community. Everyone can't
have a shot, and there may be someone more deserving than you for
whatever reason. In similar terms, if you write a strat for any of our
events (FFG, NoA, AFTA) and we edit it, alter it slightly, don't get mad.
We're just trying to take as much as we can from what everybody
wants. |
|
rule four: respect
everything |
|
Here at AOWF Command we're big on respect. That means respect
us when it comes to OOC disputes and handle things maturely.
Respect other member feds, and don't waltz into them and post
"Your Fed Sucks" posts without giving them a name and a
site to fire back on. Don't poach wrestlers from other member
feds. Don't mess with other guys characters unless you have their
express permission. Don't use racial slurs, keep sexual and
religious connotations to a minimum. Some folks may not like
them. And most of all, respect the rules. |
|
rule five: don't
break any criminal laws OOC |
|
Do not threaten, harass, blackmail, intimidate or verbally
abuse any other handler OOC. While perfectly acceptable in
character, this tends to break rule one. If you are caught doing
anything that could put ME in any legal troubles, I will make sure that the evidence is preserved
against you, and I will make myself ready to testify on anybody's
behalf. |
|
rule six: avoid
"sick" crimes in-character |
|
We frown on things like that. Your wrestler smokes a joint
now and then? Fine. You want to murder a character in your
roleplays? Fine. Go ahead. But for God's sake don't detail a
disemboweling or something similar. That's just disgusting. Same
goes for rape, child molestation and a whole host of other deals.
There will be no warning on this one, I will bring down
punishment for a violation of anything that I have said here. If
it's something borderline, I will inform you, add it to my list
and expect that you won't put it up again. |
|
rule seven:
mandatory title defense rules |
|
AOWF World Title: Has a mandatory
two-defenses a year. One at the
Fall From Grace PPV (May) and the other to take place at an event in
November. During the
year the AOWF Championship Committee does have the right to put the AOWF World Champion into more
matches if they feel fit to do so. However, for the most part as a perk the
World Champion is generally allowed to chose his or her opponents through the
course of the year at the non-mandatory events.
AOWF World Tag-Team Titles:
Have a mandatory four-defenses a year. Two
of those defenses take place at the
A Farewell
To Arms PPV
(September) and an event in March. The other two are distributed out
amongst all the existing AOWF federations. During the year the AOWF Championship
Committee does
have the right to put the AOWF Tag-Team Champions into more matches if they feel
fit to do so.
AOWF Intercontinental Title:
Has a mandatory six-defenses a year. Two
of those defenses take place at the
A Farewell
To Arms
PPV (September) and an event in March. The other four are distributed out amongst all the existing AOWF
federations. During the year the AOWF Championship Committee does have the right to put the AOWF
IC Champion into more matches if they feel fit to do so.
AOWF Television Title: Has a mandatory
12-defenses a year. Three of those defenses take place at the Night of Armageddon
PPV (January), the Fall From Grace PPV
(May), and the
A Farewell
To Arms
PPV
(September). The other nine are distributed out amongst all the
existing AOWF federations. During the year the AOWF Championship Committee does have the right to
put the AOWF TV Champion into more matches if they feel fit to do
so.
AOWF KoE Title: Has a mandatory
six-defenses a year. Two of those defenses take place at the Night of Armageddon
PPV (January)
and an event in July. The other four are distributed out amongst all the
existing AOWF federations. During the year the AOWF Championship Committee does have the right to
put the AOWF KoE Champion into more matches if they feel fit to do so.
AOWF Stable Title: Has a mandatory
four-defenses a year. Two of those defenses take place at the Night of Armageddon
PPV (January)
and an event in July. The other two are distributed out amongst all the
existing AOWF federations. During the year the AOWF Championship Committee does have the right to
put the AOWF Stable Champions into more matches if they feel fit to do so.
The
contenders for these events are chosen by the executive and
member board for the most part, with the exception of ongoing feuds which may
take precedence over the contender ship system.
Outside of this, you may defend your title only to an AOWF
sanctioned opponent at an AOWF sanctioned event. This doesn't
mean you can't defend it when you like, it just means we must
approve of the venue and opponent. In short, it means the titles
will stay within the community, and stay with wrestlers we
believe will honor them.
|
|
rule eight: we are
KAYFABE |
|
That means we (meaning your wrestlers) don't know that bookers determine the results
of the events, we don't know that wrestling is fake, we don't
believe there is any behind the scenes activities at all. You can bend this
rule...just don't break it. |
|
rule nine: follow
individual federation rules |
|
Keep in mind not only do you need to follow the rules of the AOWF Community,
but you're also responsible for knowing and following the rules of each
individual federation within the AOWF Community that you may take part in . |
|
Are based on a wrestlers win/loss record simple as that. The wrestler with
the best percentage gets the higher ranking...after the champions have been
ranked of course. This may or may not effect who and when certain wrestlers
receive AOWF title shots. |
|
rule eleven: aowf
event role playing |
|
If you at any time
you take part in an AOWF Event (i.e. Night of Armageddon,
Fall From Grace, A Farewell To Arms.) then you will be expected to follow the AOWF Event Role
Playing rules, and they are as follows: 1)
Any role play you do for an AOWF event must be exclusively
for that event. Meaning you may NOT repost it in your federation. Meaning that
your AOWF Event roleplay should only pertain to the AOWF Event you're at and not
on your opponent of the week in your federation. Break this rule and the role
play won't count.
2) You are not to use "story" role
plays at AOWF Events. The point of AOWF Events is to have wrestlers from
different federations go at it head to head, and if the majority of your role
play has to deal with your wrestler washing his car, bathing the dog, and
cooking dinner...it won't count. Your role plays may have as much description as
you want, but they must focus on your opponent. This type of role play is
otherwise known as "shoot" style. You may hate shoot style, but with
everyone using this style the field is level for everyone. If you don't like it
then don't participate.
3) So help me God if you make mention of a
real wrestler, or a real federation, in your AOWF Event role play then I will
first laugh at you, and then not count the role play. AOWF Federations will vary
on weather or not you can mention them, but at AOWF Events you may not.
4) During the role playing process the
sitting for your role plays may NOT be at a house show. I don't want to see a
role play with your character in the center of a ring, in a jam packed arena,
with the fans cheering or booing him/her as you see fit.
For
those that are curious, matches in the AOWF events are decided
upon by the AOWF Fed-Heads and Owners. Other matches
are left to the choice of their supreme leader (usually the
president in the case of federations), although we will often
make comments with our opinions. We're a very opinionated bunch.
